I was born in Orvieto.
My grandfather was the Duomo (Cathedral) attendant in Orvieto, which is known in England chiefly for the reproductions of the frescoes by Luca Signorelli.
My father, a potter and an employee of the municipality, one of Ciaurro’s apprentices, was a wellknown
artist who, together with the “Vascellari” launched a new decorative style in the twenties
which mimicked the medieval one, its shape and décor refining it.
Immersed in this world I began to attend the craftsmen’s studios in Orvieto, where ceramics
complete its magic circle.
Advertising draughtsman, screen printer, teacher in the schools of art in Orvieto and in Rome, now
a web designer for a large information technology firm, I devote most of my spare time to the study
and teaching of decoration on majolica in the medieval style, in two laboratories in Rome.
My majolica has a limited production and is aimed mainly at those whose knowledge of the art
allows them to enjoy its numerous shades as fully as possible.
